IMO, DS2 pvp is all about dex builds. They have speed and power. theres not much else you need. Let's not get too extreme, here. Heavy weapons do have the bonus of much larger stamina reduction on block, (usually) larger damage per hit, and have a large array of moves that cause some degree of knockback.The reason why Mace is such a good weapon is because it does Strike damage. As a rule of thumb you can usually assume heavily armored enemies are weak to strike damage.
