Check that relay. Take out the far left dash panel and the relay is in there, there are 2 in there back to back. Small one closed with the key and energize the big one that power all the acc. You can change it, just hard to reach, probably loose a little skin but that is where you problem is.Sounds like a supply problem ,the connections in the fuse board or the supply from the battery are corroded causing a high resistance and when the fan is turned on this causes a power drop thats allowing the fuel shut off or stop valve from staying open causing the engine to stop as its a diesel .Us old fleet vehicle fitters never die we just answer questions on here because the back breaking ... ….
