I actually did this DIY monitor about a month or so ago. The problem I'm having is that the screen flickers, but only sometimes. it will flicker for 10 seconds to 1 minute, sometimes after 10 minutes of using the monitor, and then go away for about 1 minute, only for flickering to come back. The flickering seems random, but it does come in wave.So Laptop to monitor 1 via thunderbolt and then M1 to m2 via DP. It just depends on the GPU that the computer is equipped with. It's an old i5-3570 iGPU. I'm doubting the DP version here, which I suppose should be at least 1.2 to be able to do daisy chaining. The PC is an HP Compaq Elite 8300 (NOT an all In one).

You might just need to tighten your gas spring. Directly off the specs sheet "28.8 pounds" minus the stand its still over 20 pounds. The monitor arm I've been using is rated for roughly 30 pounds and still can't keep it supported.
