Mun biomes

The Mun station doubles as a lab and a fuel depot for the shuttlecraft and it's supported by a mining lander for ISRU operations and an expeditionary lander for biome exploring. Meanwhile, I'm gradually building out my interplanetary comms network and running science/scanning probes to different planets as the various transfer windows open up..

That's why I tried to build a mega-rover to do all Mun biomes, but it failed (Beside not being able to collect science from goo canister and materials bay, I could not manage to make it stay on the ground, despite its 20 tons). Stock KSP encourages the development of a lot of bad habits. So with every bad habit it takes some time to correct.Nov 10, 2013 · First off, the only reason to grind out each biome on Kerbin and Mun is simply if you're RPing that way. The Kerbin system is chump change compared to other planets so if you're trying to unlock the tech tree fast, you only need 1 or 2 Mun landings before you should feel up to an interplanetary trip.

May 30, 2016 · The biome hopper is very efficient because it's not lugging the fuel for every biome to each biome. On Minmus, the lander can hit several biomes before refueling. On the Mun, it can hit two biomes on each sortie, as long as it lands reasonably close to a biome boundary. Oct 20, 2017 · Visiting all the biomes with a single ship by flying around will require a LOT of dV. For a single suborbital flight on the Mun (so from one biome to the next), you probably will need around 500-800 m/s worth of dV, and there are 17 biomes I believe... But you could at least visit two or three of them on a single mission. Jul 4, 2022 · Science is a gameplay feature used to unlock parts in the technology tree when playing in the Career or Science modes by spending science points, which are mainly obtained by performing various scientific activities in different situations and biomes. Science may also be obtained upon successful completion of certain contracts, or gained ...

Elite Mar 30, 2015 @ 11:09am. If you have done almost every science thing on the Mun (Including all Biomes and stuff) you should have the parts to be able to go to Duna and other planets. You will definetely be able to make minmus because pretty much as soon as you can go to the Mun you can also go to Minmus. After minmus just try Duna :)Then you can totally pillage every biome on Mun or Minmus in a single mission, with less total play time spent because you're not always going back and forth to the moons. Land on 1 biome, grab the data, return to the mothership, stuff the data in the ML, use the ML to rearm the experiments, and repeat on the next biome. To celebrate the end of the weekly challenges, I execute the very first one presented by the subreddit, along with a few twists and turns along the way. Landing at each Mun biome yields 552 points (ignoring the effects of leveled Scientists); so also one can skip visiting 4 Mun biomes (probably Poles, Polar Lowlands, Polar Crater, and Highland Craters). The remaining 100 points can be spent on not using the Infrared Telescope. The trickiest part of the challenge, I think, would be finding all ...A biome is geographically contiguous area on the surface of a celestial body. Specifically, if you can get a rocket into a Mun-crossing orbit (which is about 800m/s of delta-v), it only takes about 60 more m/s of delta-v to get to a Minmus-crossing orbit. Adding to that landing on Minmus takes a fraction of the delta-v that landing on the Mun does. A single Mun landing and return takes about 1200m/s ... ….

Mar 18, 2018 · Looking at Biomes, and specifically “Grasslands”, should I be able to collect Goo, temp etc. from each of landed, flying low, flying high, and both Space levels? Seems that would add up a LOT. Then we add Surface samples at each location. It seems like I moved on to the Mun long before I really needed to (other than it was a fun challenge). When low in space ("in space near"), gravmax and EVA report vary by biome, but nothing else does. When landed, everything varies by biome. In order to see biomes for Mun, you only need to be inside of Mun's sphere of influence.Same here. I didn't check explicitly, but I believe the Mun Stones theoretically can be found in all biomes.
