My observations after 6 weeks of daily driving an LS swapped NA. Just thought I would share my thoughts on driving my V8 miata. It doesn't matter how much power you have, you will always want more. It is much easier to keep the V8 cool than it is the 1.6/1.8, they have a poorly designed cooling system. I haven't really noticed the extra 200lbs ...Are cold air intakes worth it? But to SOME, the styling changes from NC to ND was so large that some people don't even think it's a Miata. Other than an electric version in 2023, I would expect a new generation in 2026. Since the NB, each generation matures on the 6’s with the final year being on the 5’s. NB was 99-05, NC was 06-15, and ND is 16-present. The NA is a fluke with 89 to 97 and no 98 model. And yes, NE being fully electric would be nice branding.ND1 and ND2 have the same amount of torque. If you want to modify the car for more power get the ND1. ND2 has limit FI support and fueling issues that require aftermarket injectors and or meth injection. Both cars can rev to 7500RPM, ND1 just needs a tune and that is achievable.

Took it offroad anyway and it did really well. I was bragging to somebody about how good this 2wd sidekick was off road, when they replied with "So its basically a lifted miata".
