My controller does not light up. I have power at the fuse box. I followed the Boss flow chart. I do have power on the black wire in the controller plug..

Step 1. Make sure the pump is grounded. Step 2. Put 12V of power directly to the contact post (the coil only has one post). Step 3. Hold the motor upside down and try to turn the shaft by hand. If it does not tun or hard to turn the motor is froze up and needs replaced. If the motor turns freely try to turn the pump shaft on the pump base to make sure it is not locked up. First test is done jumping battery positive to motor only. If motor runs it could be solinoid OR cable. Next jump from motor side of solinoid to motor and activate solinoid to eliminate the cable. if motor runs it is the cable. Second test by using jumper to ground motor to battery only.
