Overall it's the most damaging stance so if you're into damage, use it. Spinning needle has very good combos with plenty of multi-strikes from the block combo, but none of the attacks in the combos have damage multipliers. It falls short of Sinking talon in terms of damage, but it's really flashy and fun. Sinking talon also can do headshots. The real reason is that combo count increases extremely fast when you don't move and do aim+attack (tested this in helene when leveling up a dragon nikana).
