Most guests will fly through the Kona International Airport in Kona. however, some guests will enter via the Hilo International Airport in Hilo, though it is used primarily for inter-island flights.

We're planning to spend 7 days on the island. trying to decide how to split it up between the west and the east side. And what areas of each side are best to stay. Very interested in VNP. My family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenage kids) is thinking of travelling to the Big Island over the Christmas/New Year period and I'd like recommendations on the best areas to stay. Although few properties in this area are ocean front, most are an easy walk or drive to beaches, shops and restaurants.
