Skar amp going into protect mode
Aug 10, 2019 · Picked up a used skar rp1500.1 amp. Saw it working. Bought a new sundown sa10. Wired to 1ohm I set my gain with my scope, then set up all my filters after. Lpf is around 80hz. My issue is, with the gain set to where it needs to be before clipping it’s about 1/4 the way. I can turn my pioneer touch screen up to 40 and I don’t get clipping on ... Find out the signal wire was broken so no problem. I just stripped another piece of the wire, reattached and the sub started working again. As I moved the subwoofer to a more convenient place in my trunk it went back into protect mode and I am struggling to figure out why.

Yeah, you hooked up your amp turn-on to your power antenna wire (solid blue) on the head unit (thus it only turns on when you are listening to AM/FM). You need to hook it up to the blue wire with white stripe, which is the amp turn on. Thanks for providing the additional note.
