Works fine, at least for PvE (I don't play PvP). I run a Corrupted Str build wielding a maul. With the "Leggings of Karak" and 10 points in Grit I can light or heavy attack three in a row times before running out of stamina (the second heavy attack leaves me with 1 stamina left).
